Childhood Memories-grew up very close to a station in Central Bombay .Network of lines connecting both Western and Central lines. The old Tilak Bridge across the two networks. But I rarely traveled by a local scared by the hustle and bustle, and people packed like matches, and many suspended from windows.
What was there before the Dadar Terminus came up in 1968? A huge shunting yard. Aparna and the D.T. were both born together. How children loved the clickety-clack of locals. Would sing full-throated 'kal-kal local'
